Point in Time Count

The annual point-in-time count is a federally mandated census survey from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The data collected helps determine regional funding for human services and gauge the community’s response and services available for their homeless population.

Make an in-kind donation

In-kind donations are accepted at the IHS Women’s and Family Shelter between 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday. The address is 546 Kaaahi Street, and the donation center is located around the corner at our garage entrance on Kaamahu Place. See our Wish List page for needed items.

Volunteers give time or talent to support our clients. Whether serving meals in the kitchen, sorting donations, tutoring children, working in our health clinic, or helping adults find a new job, there is room for a range of talents to support out work.

*** IHS is an independent, local 501c3 nonprofit organization. We are not part of a national or parent organization. We are not part of the state or federal government. 100% of your donation stays in Hawaii. ***
