Job Type: Part-Time

Responsibilities

Cooks, prepares and serves meals to residents in an efficient, safe, sanitary and healthy manner. Maintains the cleanliness/sanitation of the kitchen, meal preparation and storage areas. Responsible for the appropriate utilization of meal supplies/donations and conducts inventory as instructed. Supervises and orients in-house and community volunteers in the areas of meal preparation and service. Professionally greets volunteers and donors, issues receipts as required. Works collaboratively to with volunteers, other guest services and program staff to ensure consistency of services to all guests.  Delivers and serves meals and/or picks up donations as needed.

Requirements

Position is Part-Time. Ability to work and communicate with diverse populations of varying comprehension levels. Ability to multitask, work independently and exercise good judgment. Good written communication for effective documentation, knowledge of safe food handling/preparation and kitchen safety and sanitation.  Two years of prior food preparation experience and ability to push pull and lift up to 50 pounds required. Must have drivers license and clean abstract.  Must be able to work various days and schedules.
