Manages and coordinates Janitorial and Landscape Vocational Training activities with assigned team of participants from IHS. Responsible for the team’s performance and assures that the team functions in accordance to the goals of the activity and the program’s outcomes. Provides ongoing coaching, evaluation and post-employment support to clients and supports the Employment Program Manager in the execution of projects/contracts.
1-2 years experience working with homeless and/or other disenfranchised individuals. Possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to relate and communicate effectively and professionally to a diverse population of guests, staff and the general community. Computer proficient and able to work with and unnderstand product specifications of maintenance and cleaning equipment, gardening/hand tools, fertilizer, etc. Able to lift/ push/pull up to 50 lbs. and move objects or equipment in fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures. Posses valid Hawaii Driver’s License with clean traffic abstract that meets current agency standards. CPI/CPR/First Aid/AED certified. Generally, M-F during regular business hours. Hours and days may vary depending on the needs of the program.
