It takes a community to solve homelessness

Our success to end homelessness for thousands of individuals and families is attributed to our ability to collaborate and partner with over 250 community organizations, foundations, governments, and businesses. 

Recent IHS partners in innovation include:

  • The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg FoundationAnnual and ongoing philanthropy for innovation for homeless services. Recent gift of $100k in support of Hale Mauliola.
  • Queens Medical Center:  An 8-bed respite and recovery house for medically frail homeless discharged from Queen's Medical Center.
  • City & County of Honolulu: Funding and support for Housing First Permanent Supportive Housing Program and the development of Hale Mauliola Housing Navigation Center. 
  • Hawaii Lodging & Tourism AssociationGifted $200k to fund Waikiki homeless outreach, Shuttle and Airline Relocation Programs.
  • Waikiki Hospitality Industry: Providing furniture donations following its renovations to provide clients moving into housing with startup household items. 
  • Hawaii Community Foundation:  Sponsorship of IHS participation in Housing ASAP, a consortium of homeless family service providers.
  • St. Mary's of Moiliili: Hosts a monthly service center for the Moiliili and University communities, and homeless individuals and families seeking access to services. 
  • Hilton Worldwide: Hosted Hawaii for Hawaii Fundraiser to support IHS Waikiki Homeless Initiative.
  • Locations FoundationPublicized, collected and donated over 5,000 pounds of men's, women and children clothing to IHS clients currently transitioning out of homelessness through by utilizing their offices at various locations as drop off points.  The company also matched $1/pound as a donation to our organization.
