LeaderServe Fridays

When: Fridays, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Who: Business, Political, and Community Leaders, with the option to include colleagues, friends, or family members. The kitchen can accommodate up to 5 volunteers (ages 12+) at one time.

Where: IHS Sumner Men’s Shelter (350 Sumner St.)

Why: On any given night, 4,000+ residents of Oahu experience homelessness. For many, being offered a meal is the first step to accepting help. IHS serves three meals per day, seven days a week. When volunteers join us in the kitchen, they send a message to guests that their lives have value.

What: Volunteers will help prepare, plate, and serve meals to shelter guests. Volunteers can choose to stay longer and visit with shelter staff and/or guests.

A volunteer service opportunity for Hawaii community leaders to visit the Sumner Men’s Shelter, serve lunch, and connect with shelter guests and staff.
