Paepae Hou

A kauhale for individuals on their journey of recovery.

Paepae Hou is a State of Hawaiʻi Kauhale Initiative site, a safe launching pad for individuals experiencing homelessness who have chosen to continue their substance use recovery journey in the company of others. Participants residing at this Kauhale are interested in being new ohana to another, practicing lokahi, and investing in themselves and their future. They have completed a residential treatment program and/or are participating in an outpatient program. The site will have 12 beds (male only) and a live-in house manager. All participants will have access to IHS’ array of supportive services and programs.
