OUTREACH

Through outreach, we locate people on the streets and educate them about available programs and services. We make connections and build relationships that help lead individuals and families
to change.

MEALS

With an onsite commercial kitchen, we offer three meals per day, seven days per week to anyone in need. An average of 1,000 meals per day are served from our men’s shelter meal program hub, to shelter residents and other needy individuals in the community.

HEALTH SERVICES

Stable health is critical to a homeless person’s ability to achieve goals of housing and employment. Medical and psychiatric services are provided to shelter guests through the clinic at the Sumner Men’s Shelter, and health services are also offered through a partnership with the Kalihi-Palama Health Center at the Kaaahi Women’s & Family Shelter. We also offer a street medicine program to reach unsheltered homeless people in need.

HOUSING

When clients are ready for housing, we are ready to help. Services include: connecting people with financial support for rent, deposit, or utilities; securing household items and furnishings; and matching tenants with landlords. Programs include: Housing First, Homeless Prevention, Rapid Rehousing, and more.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

Finding work is key to the financial stability required to afford housing in Hawaii, one of the nation’s most expensive places to live. We help people who are homeless or on the verge of it to get workforce ready with these services: free business attire, resume writing, interview skills, ESL courses, transportation help, budgeting courses, and skill development.

FAMILY PROGRAMS

Breaking the cycle of homelessness means focusing on the needs of parents and their children. That’s why we offer after school tutoring, activities, and school holiday break programming for kids along with financial literacy, parenting, and educational courses for the parents. We also offer childcare while parents are job searching or meeting with their Case Managers.

CASE MANAGEMENT

The role of a Case Manager is to help drive the success of individuals and families in crisis. Case managers connect people to all of the services available to them, and serve as a coach to help them navigate the road to success. Case Managers help clients replace lost documents, apply for benefits, connect to housing, and much more.

RELOCATION PROGRAM

Not everyone who comes to Hawaiʻi can build a life here. Our Relocation Program helps individuals reconnect with mainland support systems through document assistance, airfare, and travel essentials—or prepares those who stay to earn their place.
