Children’s Program

IHS’ Children’s Program or Family Program is meant to build or re-establish stability for our keiki. Life for many of our families is transient and filled with quite a bit of uncertainty in how long and where they will stay before permanent housing. Our staff, through the Children’s Program, identifies gaps in knowledge or skills and works to bring individuals to their respective peer’s levels in areas such as reading, math, and language arts.

Kahauiki Village

Kahauiki Village (KV) is a plantation-style permanent supportive housing community for formerly homeless households. It is a community of formerly homeless households comprised of 136 pre-fabricated one- and two-bedroom units.

Volunteer

Volunteers give time or talent to support our clients. Whether serving meals in the kitchen, sorting donations, tutoring children, helping with adult education, preparing units for new households to move in, or assisting with administration – IHS can only serve as many as we do through the generosity of our community!
